Sports Chaplaincy Australia - a new partnership to make a difference

Sporting Clubs are often at the heart of local communities. It’s through the local footy club, or a child’s netball team, or the weekly cricket competition, that families throughout Australia really connect with  other people in the local area. Cheering together, experiencing defeat, building resilience and having fun creates strong connections between players and on-lookers alike. However, sometimes team members experience hardship off the field, with illness, family breakdown, or other tragic circumstances.

It’s at these times that we depend on those around us, and in many sporting clubs, team chaplains are leading the community response to offer care and support to those who are suffering hardship.

Sports Chaplaincy Australia has seen the difference this can make, with over 600 chaplains currently working with a huge variety of teams around the country. Individual lives have been impacted, families have been supported, and a sense of local community has been built through the work of these chaplains. However, there is now greater need than ever before, and SCA is trying to respond to requests for an additional 5,000 chaplains in new sporting clubs throughout Australia.

At ACS Personal Insurance we are excited to establish a new partnership to help Sports Chaplaincy Australia meet this demand. As one of our personal insurance charity partners, SCA can now be financially supported through your personal insurance choices.

How does this work? When you take out a policy like home, car, and landlord insurance you can now select SCA as your choice of charity partner, and ACS Financial will contribute at least 25% of the income it receives from that policy to help SCA make a difference in local communities.

Special Introductory Offer
